  • Must have Health Insurance (all housing students are required to have current up-to-date health insurance)
  • $500 Housing Deposit (Partially Refundable) ($75 deducted each semester for building maintenance fees)
  • Housing students must be enrolled full-time (12 units-undergraduate/9 credits-graduate for Fall and Spring semesters; 6 units- undergraduate/6 units-graduate for Summer semester)
  • Application cancellation: Students applying for housing may cancel their housing applications and receive a full housing deposit refund if they notify Housing and Residence Life in writing no later than the following dates AND before the actual move-in date for the semester:
    • Spring 2014 Cancellation deadline: January 2, 2014
Students who apply after the above dates must cancel, in writing, within 10-days of the date of application AND before the move-in date for the semester in order to receive any deposit funds back.

IMPORTANT: Students who fail to cancel by the above deadlines and who do not take occupancy (decide not to come to the Academy, change to online classes, find an apartment off-campus) will incur cancellation charges and may still incur full financial responsibility for rent charges. Please plan accordingly by cancelling by the above deadlines and before the move-in date for the semester. Please consult with Housing and Residence Life if you have any questions or concerns.

Please note that your application is not completed and will not be processed without a completed payment of the $500 Housing Deposit. The Housing Deposit is an out of pocket expense which can not be covered by financial aid. The deposit covers the $75 per semester maintenance fee, in addition to any damage fees which may be incurred by the residents. The housing deposit is partially refundable only after a student moves out of housing and the room has been assessed for damages. The refund process takes 4-6 weeks on average.
